Our Process
Geneticists and Genetic Counselors in the San Francisco Bay Area apply for funding on behalf of their patients. The application is quick and easy, requiring limited patient identifiers, provider information, proof of insurance denial, and requested genetic test/lab details. Little Zebra Fund then pays the genetic testing lab directly.
Our Story
Little Zebra Fund was created by two physicians who were inspired to resolve a health inequity. As geneticists, Dr. Ruzhnikov & Dr. Foskett specialize in making rare diagnoses, most commonly among pediatric patients, when the more common diagnoses have been ruled out.
